Credit Cards
Vanguard provides acceptance of all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, JCB and Carte Blanche.

In partnership with Secure Payment Systems, Vanguard Merchant Services offers all forms of check acceptance

Verification
Check verification simply verifies that at the point of sale, no outstanding checks are in the negative data system.

Guarantee
Check authorization is a simple process at the point of sale. Your sales associate enters the customer's driver's license information in to the point-of-sale credit card terminal and/or slides the check through a check reader to capture the bank account data. In less than one second, Secure Payment Systems authorizes the check from its database of a million or so records, accessing both local and national negative files of unpaid checks. With guarantee service, the authorized checks that bounce are reimbursed to the merchant in full after the Secure Payment Systems receives them offering:

Claims reimbursement in 14 days

Support for all major point-of-sale terminals

Support for all electronic check readers

Stop payment fraud coverage

Conversion
Imagine your customer handing you a check. You enter the requested data into a point-of-sale terminal or you slide the check through a check scanner.

Instantly, an image of the check is created and stored in the check scanner.
Instantly, an electronic transaction request is transmitted for approval.
Instantly, a receipt is printed which the customer signs allowing for ACH funds transfer.

You image the receipt by sliding it through the scanner, you hand the check back to your customer, funds are credited to your account within 24-48 business hours and electronic checks that bounce hit Secure Payment Systems bank account...Not Yours.

Gift & Loyalty Cards
In partnership with Valutec, Vanguard Merchant Services offers Gift Card, Loyalty Card and Stored Value Card programs.

Gift Card
With this program, plastic cards replace paper gift certificates. This plastic card is tailored specifically to the merchant using a customized logo and design. The consumer purchases the gift card using cash, check or credit card. The amount of the "gift" value is loaded and stored on the host data-base by swiping a magnetic striped card through their POS terminal. The card may be used multiple times and is reloadable by the consumer.

Loyalty Card
Merchants gain the ability to track and reward loyal customers. The card is used to track aspects of a consumer's loyalty to the merchant. This tracking could include number of visits, amount of purchases over a period of time, a combination of these or other similar customizable concepts. This program provides merchants with an effective tool for increasing store traffic, sales and loyalty by identifying those customers who provide the greatest store patronage.

Stored Value
This program is similar to the gift card program with the exception of the marketing emphasis. With stored value program, the emphasis is placed on an individual purchaser. The consumer purchases value today that will be redeemed at a future date. This is usually in conjunction with marketing or rewards program. This promotes customer loyalty by enhancing future visits to redeem value from the prepaid card.
